Total refit and re-styling

S/y MAGISTRAL - 122’ - Now Six Plus Two

On the expectation of her new captain : total interior and the bridge refit studies, lengthening of the hull, new styling for superstructures, addition of lazarette and new layout for the deck accommodation.

The challenge was to transform the schooner S/Y Orejona without changing the aesthetic balance of this magnificent yacht.

With these preliminary styling & feasibility studies, the new owner of the ship ordered the complete refit to JFA Yachts shipyard in Concarneau.

Originally designed by De Vries Lentsch and built in 1972 at Camenga shipyard, the boat was totally laid bare in a first time, and kept from her previous life only its steel hull and its 2 mast tubes.

The schooner renamed S/Y Magistral was launched in spring 2001 after eighteen months of work. She continues today to sail the Mediterranean Sea, skipped by a new ship owner under the name of Six plus two.
