Order for a 76.6 m Explorer motor vessel in Concarneau - France

Piriou Shipyards announced a historic new order for a large explorer motor vessel. The 76.6m motor vessel will be built in Concarneau, Brittany, by its French division.

Created by Pierre Jacques Kubis Naval Designs in collaboration with the in-house Engineering team, the motor vessel has been designed for world cruising in extreme conditions (-20°C/+50°C), with an ice-classed steel hull.

The yacht will have a diesel-electric propulsion system giving a top speed of 15 knots, a cruising speed of 11 knots and an impressive range of 12,000 nautical miles.

Her layout will accommodate 18 passengers in a high standard of comfort, in addition to the 18 crew members.

The yacht is scheduled for a launch in may 2015.
